What are the pre-requisites for your Certificate in Organic Anti-Ageing Skincare?

In order to enrol for Formula Botanica's Certificate in Organic Anti-Ageing Skincare we typically expect you to be able to:

1. Understand how to calculate weights and percentages in your formulation.
2. Be familiar with the basic ingredients used by organic formulators.
3. Know the basics of aroma-blending - understand how to choose essential oils for your formulation and work with dermal limits. 
4. Understand the basics of skin anatomy and physiology. 
5. Be familiar with the legalities of formulating organic cosmetics, including how to label your formulations.
6. Be able to create basic emulsions using different emulsifiers. We will be adding high-performance ingredients to these emulsions so it is essential you have mastered this skill before attempting to use these more expensive ingredients.

We understand that some of our students have gained skills and experience elsewhere.
