We have prepared a comprehensive Orientation course that will guide you through our e-learning platform, which you can find in the "My Courses" session.
In order to facilitate your access, we have also created this visual guide for you.
Dashboard
Below you will find an imagine of the Dashboard of a sample student account. The Dashboard is your e-learning platform central page, where you have quick access to your profile, the School Announcements, your courses and the community. Everything is lined up to make your access to the courses very easy, and so that you can receive all the important information in one single page.
Each of the Dashboard sections are explained below in this image.
Top of the page
The top section has 4 links, which will always be available from anywhere in the course: these are Dashboard, Orientation, My Classroom and Student Library. You can use these links as quick shortcuts to take you to these 4 areas from anywhere in the platform.
Dashboard: If you wish to get back to the e-learning platform homepage, click Dashboard.
Orientation: This leads you to our Orientation Course, which was created to give you all the important information you need to learn how to navigate this new e-learning platform. If you are familiar with Formula Botanica and the previous platform, please check Lesson 1 - How to start, which will give you a tour of the new Dashboard.
To start or resume your Orientation Course, click Orientation.
My Classroom: This takes you to the Formula Botanica Online Classroom, which is our very positive, student exclusive Facebook group. I will take you through the community on Lesson 4 of our Orientation Course, where we will explore Formula Botanica’s support channels.
Student Library: This takes you to the Student Library. On Lesson 5 I will giving you a tour of our amazing Student Library and all its extra resources.
My profile: This gives you an overview of your profile.
School Announcements: Here you will find all the latest Formula Botanica information on events. This section is constantly updated and you should check it regularly so that you don't miss any invitations to student support events, company news and team updates.
Getting Started: Within the Getting Started section, you have a check list with the 4 main points that will set you up for success from start.
My Courses: This is where you will find all of the courses you are enrolled in. In order to start your course you simply need to click "Start" and this will take you to the very beginning of your course. After starting your course, you will then see a “Continue” button, and this will take you to where you left off last time.
You can also find your course expiry date, and how far through the course you have progressed with the progress bar underneath the course title.
My Community: This is another central place for useful links. From here you can access the Formula Botanica Online Classroom, our awesome Instagram account for inspiration and the Formula Botanica blog. We are very proud of our awesome community and all the content we put out, and we want you to benefit from that. Make sure you engage with you peers, our team and our community thought these platforms, as they are an awesome way to keep you up to date with the latest indie beauty discussions and to connect you with likeminded people.
My Badges: At Formula Botanica we love to celebrate our students and graduate achievements and students are awarded with badges which can be achieved by receiving high grades throughout the course or by completing a course. All earned badges sit here in this section and you can download your high resolution badges right here to proudly show off your hard work on your social media channels.
My Next Course: The Formula Botanica team works very hard behind the scenes to offer you all the education you need to become an expert formulator and entrepreneur, and this section was created to help you to plan your Continuous Professional Development, showing you the courses that you can enrol onto next. At Formula Botanica we work with enrolment periods, so that we can offer better support for our students, and it is important that you plan for your next courses accordingly.
